STRATEGIC FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS ACQUIRES WHITTAKER GARNIER

Combined Company Creating Alternative Investment Industry’s First Comprehensive Front and Middle Office Financial Solution

New York – January 31, 2006 - Strategic Financial Solutions, LLC, (SFS) creator of PerTrac, the world’s leading asset allocation and investment analysis software, announced today that it has acquired Whittaker Garnier (WG), the leading provider of contact and information management solutions for the alternative investment industry. Whittaker Garnier’s products will become an integral part of the PerTrac suite of investment management solutions, and will provide investment professionals the industry’s only integrated offering of front and middle financial office solutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Since inception in 1998, Whittaker Garnier has grown to serve more than 200 clients globally who collectively manage over $180 billion in assets. The Company’s Microsoft Outlook-based Client Management System (CMSä) provides best-of-breed contact and document management, tracks and facilitates investor communications and reporting, integrates information from back office accounting packages, and provides full investor relations and compliance tools for alternative investment management firms.

The acquisition follows almost exactly six months after Insight Venture Partners and Salmon River Capital completed the acquisition of SFS. Both investment firms participated in this transaction.
